Prerequisites and Application for Creating a Marketplace Integration

Overview

Marketplace integrations are reusable integrations that software companies build for mutual Hover customers on Pro plan and above. They're listed in the Hover Marketplace with OAuth connection, and Hover Solutions Engineering tests and supports them.

What are the steps to get on the Marketplace?

Building an integration doesn't automatically list it on the Hover Marketplace. Every Marketplace integration goes through these steps:

1. Apply. A company, generally a software company, submits the simple partner application, with information on what they want to build and why. Help us understand the need and goals.
2. Get approved to build. Hover reviews the application and lets you know if you're approved to proceed.
3. Build and submit. You build the integration with Solutions Engineering, then submit your Marketplace Integration Information Submission
4. Review, documentation and testing. Hover reviews your submission, creates Help Center documentation, and tests the integration.
   1. Integrations can be tested by Hover at most 3 times per 6 months. If all 3 tests opportunities fail, you are not elligible for testing for 6 months.
5. Go live. Once all items are in place across both teams and Hover approves, your integration is listed on the Marketplace. Mutual customers can connect!

Hover reserves the right to decline any application or integration at any step, and to remove an integration from the Marketplace at any time.

There is currently no fee to apply or to be listed on the Marketplace.

Why the application?

Our Solutions Engineering team supports every Marketplace integration through scoping, testing, and launch. To give each partner that level of support, while maintainng bandwidth to support our customers, we focus on integrations that have the potnential to serve the most Hover customers.

For now, we approve partners building for at least 3 mutual customers on a Hover Pro plan or above. These criteria are subject to change.
