# Webhooks

Hover's webhook functionality allow third-party developers and integrations to receive notifications when various actions take place. The benefits of webhooks include:

* Your integrations and systems can take action in real-time based on events sent from Hover.
* Improved performance of your integration by replacing polling mechanisms with asynchronous updates.
* Increased integration efficiency as code only needs to run when resource changes occur in Hover.
